Product Overview
DF201 is a fine-powder grade PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) resin—also known as dispersion resin—produced via emulsion polymerization and designed for paste extrusion processing. It appears as a white flake or powder with a uniform texture, free from visible mechanical or organic impurities.
Product Characteristics
Excellent high- and low-temperature resistance: Maintains stable performance across a wide temperature range (-180°C to 260°C), making it suitable for extreme operating conditions;
Superior chemical stability: Resistant to acids, alkalis, and solvents; virtually inert to common chemical reagents;
Low coefficient of friction: Exhibits good surface self-lubrication, reducing wear;
Good electrical insulation: High dielectric strength, making it suitable for use as an insulating material;
Combines flexibility and ductility: High elongation at break, facilitating subsequent paste extrusion and molding.
Processing Method
DF201 is primarily processed using the **paste extrusion** method. It can be formed into semi-finished products such as unsintered tape (thread seal tape), rods, and films, which are then sintered to achieve their final form.
Key Application Areas
Thread seal tape (unsintered expanded PTFE tape): Widely used for sealing pipe threads;
Sealing products, gland packing, and fillers;
Insulation materials and wire/cable coatings;
Various corrosion-resistant and high-temperature resistant gaskets.
Packaging, Storage, and Transportation
The product is typically packaged with an inner layer of PVC bags and an outer layer of rigid cylindrical drums, accompanied by branding, batch numbers, and a certificate of quality. Store in a clean, dry warehouse; avoid moisture, direct sunlight, and severe vibration or compression to prevent resin clumping, which could impair subsequent processing performance. During transport, it is handled as non-hazardous cargo, though precautions against moisture and shock are required.
