Product Overview
DF203F is another grade in the PTFE fine powder series. Like DF201, it is produced via emulsion polymerization, yet it differs in processing methods and intended applications. DF203F is primarily suited for molding processes and is often categorized alongside dry lubricant powders and fine molding resins; it is ideal for applications demanding high dimensional accuracy and superior surface finish.
Distinctions from Other Products in the Series
Compared to DF201—which focuses on paste extrusion and is primarily used for thread seal tape and sealing products—DF203F is positioned differently:
Different processing route: It utilizes molding processes rather than paste extrusion, making it suitable for structural components such as films, thin-walled tubing, and elastic tapes.
Superior thermal stability: A lower thermal instability index indicates a reduced risk of resin degradation during molding and better product consistency.
More specialized applications: It is commonly used to produce structural components like films, thin-walled parts, gaskets, rods, sheets, and tubes, rather than just flexible products like sealing tapes.
Typical Applications
Films and thin-walled tubing
Elastic sealing tapes
Various gaskets and sealing rings
Processing of profiles such as rods, sheets, and tubes
Raw material for fine dry lubricant powders; used in composite material modification for friction reduction and wear resistance
Packaging and Storage
The product features double-layer PVC inner packaging and a rigid cylindrical outer container. It should be stored in a clean, dry environment, protected from moisture, direct sunlight, and heavy stacking pressure to prevent clumping, which could impair subsequent molding performance. While transported as non-hazardous cargo, care should be taken to prevent moisture exposure and excessive vibration, as severe shaking can cause the resin to clump.
